Have you ever tried making your own chocolate almond butter cups? They’re like a Resse’s but better.

Making your own raw chocolates can take some time though. It’s a great way to spend an hour doing something creative and I highly recommend it for it’s therapeutic chillaxation.

I also know that sometimes we’re just a bit more pressed for time or for whatever reason, would rather have it now. The great thing about chocolate is it’s versatile. Okay, let’s be honest, the great thing about chocolate is that it tastes fricken amazing and makes you feel like a unicorn.

Anyhow, for anyone looking for a chocolatey kick to start their day but in an almond butter way, I bring you a version you can sip in a cup.

It’s Good For Your Skin Too!

All of the ingredients in here are particularly good for healthy skin. There is one ingredient — Tocotrieniols — that are especially good for the skin. I wanted to mention this briefly as some of you might not be familiar with this ingredient.

Tocos are Rice Bran solubles in a fluffy powdery form. They’re rich in Vitamin E, amino acids and tastes even when eaten alone taste kind of like vanilla ice cream!

The Vitamin E in Tocotrienols is considered 40 to 50 times more powerful than conventional forms. Vitamin E is actually an antioxidant, which offers powerful protection against free radical and environmental damage. Tocos are also known for its unparalleled healing and nourishing benefits for red, irritated or dry skin.

Chocolate AlmondButter Cup Shake

Here’s what you’ll need:

Here’s how you make it:

  1. Bring water to body temp warmth. You don’t want to get this too hot — the fat in almonds is heat-sensitive. Warm it up just enough to melt the cacao butter.
  2. Once the water is ready, pour into the Blendtec, add the cacao butter and let it melt some.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients then blend until smooth and creamy.
